For developers
A kanban in your new tab, not another Jira
Your team's tracker is for your team's work. Stickyboard is for everything else: side projects, the refactor you keep meaning to do, and the five things you actually want done today.
Why developers use it
- It removes the "open the app" step. Every new tab is your board, so you see it between builds, deploys and searches.
- Fast to drive from the keyboard. N for a new note, Cmd/Ctrl + Enter to save, Esc to close.
- Zero schema. No issue types, story points, sprints or workflows to configure. To do, doing, done.
- Sketch a note. Boxes and arrows for a quick architecture idea, right on the board.
- Everywhere you are. Chrome new tab, the web, a Mac menu-bar app, and your phone's home screen. Works offline with your last loaded board.
- Publish a board. Turn a side project's board into a public link, handy as a lightweight roadmap.
A setup that works
| Board | What goes on it |
|---|---|
| Today | Three to five notes, max. The things that make today a good day. |
| Side project | Features, bugs and ideas. Publish it if you build in public. |
| Learning | Courses, papers, a language or tool you want to try. |

Being a browser new tab replacement is also super cool. I love a new tab replacement.

Does Stickyboard integrate with GitHub or Jira?
No. Stickyboard is for the work that does not live in a tracker: side projects, learning goals, the five things you want done today. Keep team work in your team's tool.
Are there keyboard shortcuts?
Yes. Press N to start a new note, Cmd or Ctrl + Enter to save it, and Esc to close a note.
Can I make a board public, like a roadmap?
Yes. From a board's share / manage access menu you can publish it to a public link, and unpublish it again at any time.
