Stickyboard vs Trello

If Trello feels like more than you need for "what do I have to do this week", you are not wrong. Here is an honest comparison, including when Trello is still the better call.

The short version

Trello is a powerful, flexible kanban tool built for teams: cards, Power-Ups, automations, and many boards in many workspaces. Stickyboard is the opposite on purpose. It is a board with three columns (to do, doing, done) and real-looking sticky notes you drag between them, and it replaces your browser's new tab so you never forget it exists.

If you want labels, due-date automations and a dozen team boards, use Trello. If you want a calm, visual wall for your own projects, use Stickyboard.

Questions

Is Stickyboard free like Trello?

Yes. Stickyboard is free on the web, as a Chrome extension and as a Mac app. There is no paid tier you need for personal use.

Can I import my Trello board?

Not yet. Stickyboard is intentionally small, so most people recreate the handful of notes that matter in a minute or two.

Is Stickyboard a Trello alternative for teams?

For small, informal sharing, yes: invite people to a board by email and everyone sees changes live. For full team project management with automations, custom fields and reporting, Trello is the heavier-duty tool.
