For ADHD brains
A to-do board that is impossible to forget exists
If out of sight really is out of mind, the best task list is the one you cannot avoid seeing. Stickyboard puts your tasks on every new tab, as sticky notes you can see and move.
Built around how you actually work
- It finds you. No app to remember to open. Open a browser tab and your board is already there.
- Visual, not a wall of text. Coloured notes in three columns. You can see what is waiting, what you are on, and what you have already done today.
- Almost no friction. Press N, type, done. No due dates, priorities, tags or projects to fill in before a task counts.
- No system to maintain. Nothing to set up, so nothing to abandon in two weeks and feel bad about.
- Wins you can see. Dragging a note to done is small and satisfying, and the done column shows the day was not wasted.
- Forgiving. Done notes tidy themselves away, and anything you bin by mistake can be pulled back out.
A gentle way to use it
| Column | Try this |
|---|---|
| To do | Brain-dump everything here. It is allowed to be messy. |
| Doing | Two or three notes at most. If it is not in doing, it is not today's problem. |
| Done | Leave it full for a while. It is proof. |
For a task that feels too big to start, add a checklist inside the note and make the first step tiny: "open the doc" counts.

Most to-do apps feel like overkill when all you want is something simple and visual.

Why does a new-tab board help when to-do apps have not?
Most to-do apps only work if you remember to open them. Stickyboard shows up on its own every time you open a browser tab, so the list stays in sight without relying on a habit.
What if my board gets overwhelming?
Finished notes tidy themselves away into history after a while, and anything you drag to the bin can be recovered. Keep the doing column to two or three notes and the board stays calm.
Is it free?
Yes. Stickyboard is free on the web, as a Chrome extension and as a Mac app. No trial, no card.
